ABOUT
The Arctic Trucks AT44 6X6, a next-generation iteration of the superb AT44 4×4 Hilux, was first used in Antarctica during the 2010/11 season. Since then, the AT44 6×6 (which is also street-legal in Iceland!) has been intrinsic as a support vehicle for expeditions and missions which require greater load capacity. The vehicles have crossed Antarctica numerous times.
The AT44 6×6 is a reliable and efficient choice for heavier-duty support tasks or where more capacity is merely useful to have as a mission backup; advantages including a total all-up weight of between 3.5 and 5 tonnes, uniquely flexible load capabilities, greater surface traction, even further range and excellent comparable fuel efficiency.
